Whole-body cry therapy medical procedures are based on subjecting whole body of a patient
to cryogenic temperatures action (cryostimulation). They are performed in cryochambers.
 
Cryochamber is a large, closed, stationary and computerized medical device, using liquid synthetic air.
It enables to stay a few patients at the same time in a chamber at temperature e below - 120C.
 
        
 
Cooling source:
 
Most of modern cryochambers uses synthetic air instead of nitrogen or compressors. Synthetic air mixture of nitrogen and oxygen has temperature of – 193 C and is easier in exploitation, and its use reduces costs of cryochamber construction up to 40% (most of cryochambers manufactured and used in Poland and all over the world are supplied with liquid synthetic air).
 
         
 
Advantages of liquid air cryochambers
 
Metrum Cryoflex was the first on the world company who construct cryochamber suplaying by Liquid Synthetic Air (LSA). Till now we sold more then 70 cryochamber in Poland, Czech, UK and brand new market: Italy and France.  
 
  • gas mixture (nitrogen plus oxygen) is safety in usage and storage and available on the whole territory of Poland, Czech Republik, Slovak Republic, Italy, Austria, France, UK
  • small investment costs in comparison to nitrogen fed cryochambers or aggregate cryochambers,
  • there is no need to assign additional rooms for installation cryochamber control devices (it is required for aggregate cryochambers and nitrogen cryochambers)
  • there is no need to employ additional people to cryochamber technical service (it is required for aggregate cryochambers and nitrogen cryochambers)
  • safe, multipoint, microprocessor temperature control and double oxygen content,
  • lower exploitative costs of cryochamber fed with liquid air than nitrogen fed cryochamber or aggregate cryochamber
  • it allows to obtain in short period of time therapeutic temperature up to -160°C, temperature -100°C after 10 minutes,
  •  the best dynamics of activity among known technical solutions regarding cryochambers.

 

Why temperature of treatments is important:

 
According to the research and medical studies the optimum effectiveness of the whole-body cryotherapy procedures may be achieved through using temperature ranging from -150C to -130C, what allows to reduce the integument temperature to ca. -2,5 C, ensuring the highest effectiveness of cryostimulation at safeguarding the hypothermic safety and patients high comfort. The calculations made in the quoted research show that increasing of temperature inside the chamber from – 130 C to – 120 C reduces the effectiveness of cryostimulation almost twice and at temperature e – 110 C (typical for compressor type of cryochamber) the therapeutic effect is ten times lower.
