Device for cryotherapy Cryo-TIs a cooling system based on liquid CO
2. It allows easy and safe aplication on patient's body. It operates with low temperature -75ºC. Liquid nitrogen (LN
2) is not used in it.
In comparision with all other cooling mediums, CO
2 acts to human body in two ways:
- phisycal - as a gas and low temperature carrier (-75ºC). It cause vascular contraction
- biochemical - case expansion of these vasculars in second phase.Thanks to biochemical properties of carbon dioxide the shortening of body primary reaction on cold is observed: shortening of vascular contraction below cooled surface and shortening of liver process phase slowness
Secondary reaction:
- sudden dilatation of veins
- fastening of liver process phase
Both reactions occure during treatment, which alows for very intensive carrying of cold to deeper tissues.
Using CO
2 in cryotherapy treatment gives full therapeutic effects as:
- pain relieve because of releasing large doze of endorphine
- decreasing activity of inflammatory process, decreasing of muscular tone, decreasing of oedema

Using Cryo-T with CO
2 allows for safe and very precise "contact" spraying with moving aplication nozzle very close to patient's body. In such way of treatment there is the lowest temperature applied on the body.
